SERIO kicks off the new year with one of the most beloved and influential operas of all time—Giacomo Puccini’s La bohème. A four-act opera based on Henri Murger's novel, Scènes de la vie de bohème, the opera premiered in 1896 and tells a poignant story of love, friendship and heartbreak among struggling artists in 19th-century. It captures the fragility of life, the intensity of love and the bonds of friendship, set against the vivid backdrop of bohemian Paris.
SERIO brings this grand production to life in the intimate setting at Pittsburgh Music Academy, inviting audiences to experience this operatic masterpiece in an up-close and personal way.
Cast members include: George Milosh as Rodolfo, Alexa Zeremenko as Mimì, Anthony Massetto as Marcello, Grace Gits as Musetta, Gabriel Lockheimer Toso as Colline, Joseph Breslau as Schaunard and Robert Herold as Alicindoro/ Benoit.
